Jack Perkins, a keen tennis player and a familiar face at the Don Mills Tennis Club, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12. Jack was a pillar of the club for over 30 years. It was a joy to be his partner and friend. His backhand cross court won him many points as he placed the ball out of reach of the opponents. He was a familiar face at Kaffeeklatsch, whether at the desk or on the courts. He was a regular at club socials. In the past, he did his share of voluntary work at the club by taking care of screens and carpentry work.

Dick Booth was a close friend of Jack’s.
He said:
“Jack was one of the finest persons to have graced this world;
there are not enough superlatives to describe him. He was the finest – a helpful friend, kind and considerate to all.”

Jack is survived by his wife Joan and a daughter and family. Jack will be missed by all who knew him especially at our tennis club.
