DMTC Members Update DMTC grounds team has completed the takedown on time and NYTA is busy setting up the bubble for winter tennis. Thank you to Grounds Director Scott Harrald and volunteers Vamsi G, Nigel M, and others. The Clubhouse and fridge science projects have also been cleaned out, under Clubhouse Director Lydia Kimlick and volunteers Susanne P and Angela K. All the old balls have been given to school charity. Juniors, and adults: remember that team tryouts for 2023 are very early in the last week of April, so mark the dates. See you next season... Tuesday, October 4th, 2022 at 7 pm The Annual General Meeting of the Don Mills Tennis Club will be held on Tuesday, October 4th, 2022, at 7 pm at the Donway Covenant United Church (230 The Donway West, Don Mills, ON, M3B 2V8). Congratulations DMTC juniors! who won the gold medal at last Sunday’s OTA Rocks Festival/ ICTA Junior Tournament. Both teams went deep into quarter-finals, semis, then finals. In dramatic fashion, a U18 doubles 10-point tiebreaker was needed to decide the championship against Dentonia TC. The tiebreaker score was 3-3, 6-6, 9-9, and then 11-9 for Don Mills. CONGRATULATIONS juniors on showing your toughness and managing your game! Congrats also to the hard-working Jr team captains John Chow and Ken Chin.
